Chapter Requirements
In order to be considered for acceptance into Alpha Epsilon Delta at the University of South Carolina there are a few requirements. The applicant must have an overall GPA of at least a 3.0 and a science GPA of at least a 3.0. Failure to meet these first two requirements will result in an automatic neglecting of the application. Meetings are usually held every other week. Attendance is taken every meeting and a member is only allowed 3 absences over a semester. If more than 3 absences do occur than the member will be put on probation for the succeeding semester. The applicant also must have a minimum of 30 credits at an honorable institution. Initiation only occurs once every year and that is in the Fall. However, applications are accepted and approved at the beginning of each semester. When the applicant gets initiated than there is a fee requirement of $50. This is a lifetime fee that goes toward chapter dues.
